2019 Reserve Syrah

Wine Maker Comments:

The Syrah off of the Sea Shell Vineyard is udoubtedly its most aromatically intense and savory variety. It is grown on the upper, west-facing slope of the estate, its steepest terrain.

Vinification:

This lot was picked early in the morning to keep the fruit cool prior to processing. The Syrah was then destemmed and sorted into small open top fermentors that were punched down 2-3 times per day. The Syrah was fermented and macerated on its skins for a total of 19 days prior to being pressed and barreled down.
